Spring-Summer: Christian Youth In Action®
Are you a Christian teen looking for an opportunity to serve the Lord in a ripe, affordable and one of the least reached mission fields? Are you looking for an opportunity to connect with like-minded teens? If so, Christian Youth in Action is for you!
Christian Youth in Action (CYIA®) is a summer missions program developed and run by Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) staff and volunteers. Student teachers learn how to effectively share the Gospel with boys and girls during the CEF of Oregon week-long training school. The students then return to their local areas to teach 5-Day Clubs (mini vacation Bible clubs in neighborhoods) throughout the summer. CYIA gives students many opportunities to witness the miracle of salvation that takes place in children who hear and receive the Good News of Jesus Christ. If you are a Christian student, going into the 8th grade (and 13 years of age by June) or attending college and you have the heart to serve the Lord reaching the lost CYIA is for you!
Pre-training is required for anyone interested in attending the State CYIA training school. During Ponderosa Chapter’s pre-training weekend Jr. CYIA students (those going into 7th grade and 12 years old before June) are also trained to share the Gospel message. Jr. CYIA’ers receive training enabling them to help in the summer 5-Day Clubs. Ponderosa Chapter/Mid-Columbia and Eastern Oregon Chapter’s pre-training is held in April each year.
State CYIA Training School is typically held in the third week of June. See the Oregon CYIA website for more info! Let us know if you would like to join this winning team of Oregon teens!

“Coming to CYIA is a real encouragement for me in my walk with God. I am just so encouraged to see all these (teens) wanting to live and work for God.” Anna U. – CYIA’er
“I have been able to use my previous CYIA training to reach children with the gospel. It has also helped me to teach more effectively in the Good News Club I help with.” Darcie I. – CYIA’er
“Contact us” if you are interested in receiving information about this life-changing opportunity. A life-changing opportunity for the teens involved and for those who they are privileged to share the Gospel message with. This valuable training equips teens to help in children’s ministries at their local church as well.
